This ability of film was used by directors when they produced feature films about real or fictive events, how they could have happened in real life. Historically precise details or the reverting to collective memory brings about the authentic touch. Through the apparent realistic presentation the audience is drawn into the spell of the film and lives through the events of the story - mostly out of the point of view of the leading actor.
