plot synopsis:
In the last days World War II the two friends Gallus and Tschaikowsky, barely sixteen years old, are drafted into the German "Volkssturm", Hitler`s resserves consisiting of young boys and old men supposed to defend the fatherland in the so-called "final battle". In this war that is not their`s, the boys have but two goals: they want to stay alive and - even more important - they want to discover the "secret of love".
