Summer 1939: The british hunter Thorndike is hunting in the bavarian forests, when he suddenly is able to aim at Adolf Hitler. After initially aiming at him only jokingly, he decides to shoot, but is being captured by german soldiers and interrogated and tortured. The Nazis decide to kill him, but Thorndike luckily survives and escapes back to England, but german spys are able to trace him there and Thorndike has to flee again. Hiding in the wildernis, a spy is able to catch him there, but Thorndike is again able to defeat his follower. Then WW II breaks out and Thorndike decides to return to Germany as part of the army to finish what he had begun.
