In this documentary a camera team accompanies an Iraqi extended family in their daily life in a suburb of Bagdad for a time of several weeks.

It is May 2005 in Al Amin 2. In a two-storey house lives the widow Zouaida with her 15 children in their 25-members extended family. There is just a little pension and the salary her sons bring home to live on.
Zouaida is the head of the whole family with all its happiness, anger and sadness. She is the only woman allowed to go out alone. All the young girls need someone who accompanies them, if they want to leave the house. One exception is 22-year-old Balkhis, who can take the bus to the university with other young women. The men can do what they want.
If electricity works, mostly two or three hours of the day, the whole family sits in front of the TV and the dramatic events in Iraq become the centre of interest.
The film team, but more importantly the family Nasser, took on enormous risks to realize this film about life in this chaotic world in the midst of war.
