plot synopsis:
The Jewish prisoners of the special unit were forced to become the helping hands of the genocide. The Germans tried to shift the guilt onto the victims. This is why the prisoners of the special unit were separated into groups by the SS. The first group had to controll the victims during they got undressed in special rooms and were brought to the gas chambers. The second group collected and cleaned the clothes of the victims and cleaned the rooms and gas chambers. The third group had to open the doors after the victims had been gased and transport them to the crematorium. The fourth group had to collect the golden teeth and cut of the hair of the victims. The last group had to push the dead bodies into the crematorium. Survivors of the special unit tell their story about the shift from being victim to being perpetrator. Most of them never told anybody about their past until to the interviews for this film because they felt ashamed and gulity.
