plot synopsis:
in 1944 an American Intelligence Squad discovers a group of German soldiers in France, who rather wish to surrender than to die in the final German offensive. The two groups of men, for the moment isolated from the war, forget about their differences and spend Christmas together. But the surrender plan turns out bad and they are forced to fight each other.
