The young communist Vaso returns to his native village. He gives a new meaning to the protest of the peasants against the foreigners who oppress and exploit the local people. His brother Marko dreams of revenging himself against those who raped his fiancée. His hatred infuses a general revolt. In this tense situation the occupers organize a "day of brotherhood" which is turned in an open protest against them. Enraged by their failure, they take it out on the population. A this moment, Vaso and his brother leave for the capital Tirana where the Communist Party of Albania is to be founded.
