The action takes place in a ficticious year 1964. Germany has won the Second World War, after the German army turned back the D-Day invasion at Normandy 30 years ago. But the remnants of the war are still present: the superpower that now calls itself Germania, is still fighting a bitter guerilla war with the Soviet Union. In order to finally beat Stalin’s war machine a historic meeting has been arranged: US President Joseph Kennedy Sr. is about to come to Berlin to meet the seventy-five-year-old Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler – a symbol of detente between Germania and the United States.
Just days before the summit, SS-homicide detective Xavier March, is called to investigate a series of murders of former Nazi Party Officials. Soon he finds out that the individual cases are linked. At the same time, American journalist Charlie Maguire is called away from her press junket by a former German military official hoping to defect to the US.
Together, March and Maguire assemble the pieces and unfold Germania's horrible secret: the systematic slaughter of nearly six million Jews during WWII.
Of course, the two are closely observed by Nazi and SS-leaders who are ready to do anything to keep an information hidden that could destroy the peace process with America.
With only hours remaining before the US-Germania summit, march and Maguire race against the Gestapo to get evidence of the Holocaust to the US ambassador.
