A film about the 70-days-long siege of Alcatraz, the fortress of Toledo, by nationalist forcces during the Spanish Civil War. The film`s preceding promise to honour all who took part in this battle is mere propaganda. While the nationalists are protrayed as saint-like warriors, republicans are shown a drunken ruffians. The intention of the film becomes obvious with the appeareance of General Franco as a heroic liberator.
