Harry Webb, head of a company security, fears a diamond theft in an important mine in the South-African desert. Soon he makes himself unpopular, especially with Claire Chambers, daughter of the mine administrator. She is visiting Mike Bradley, the man she loves, who is responsible for the security at the mine. Nelson, the mine administrator, gives Bradley the curious mission to steal a diamond and to get into contact with a certain Lewis and his group of mercenaries, who are planning a robbery with the help of a local accessory called "Father Christmas". Webb, not informed about the deceit, pursues Bradley, who could contact Lewis. When the mercenaries are about to enter the mine, Bradley reveals himself as "Father Christmas". With Webb in pursuit he and the two other surviving persons, Claire and Lewis, flee into the desert.
