This film is a documentary about aircraft carriers, their function, their several decks and the life people live on them. Most of the documentary was filmed on the aircraft carrier "Yorktown", that was sponsored and named by Mrs Eleanor Roosevelt in 1943. During the Pacific War against Japan while the Second World War, air craft carriers were the backbone of strategists and tactitians. Navy-cinematographers documentated the way of one of them in the years 1943 and 1944.
