plot synopsis:
In 1856 Major Vickers is stationed in British-India. During a maneuver the barracks are attacked by Surat Khan and his soldiers and many women and children are killed. Vickers promises to revenge the dead. His brigade is moved to the Crimea where Khan stays and it comes to a battle.
