plot synopsis:
Well-balanced documentary that shows how and why the Falklands War was fought from both sides, Argentinian and British. Instead of showing faceless enemies it protrays British and Argentine soldiers alike. Whereas the Argentine forces often consisted of very young, inexperienced and improperly trained soldiers, British forces were well-trained, professional and skilled soldiers. Apart from real-life footage of Tornado-Mirage dogfights with planes being shot down in mid-air and raging gunbattles in the pitch dark the film never forgets to show the people involved. In the end there are no proud, heroic, or jubilant winners but British soldiers who feel miserable for having killed other humans.
