plot synopsis:
The argentine Ernesto 'Che' Guevara is affiliated by the paramilitarical revolutionaries around the cuban lawyer Fidel Castro. After a catastrophic landing in cuba they are soon dispersed over the mountains of the Sierra Maestra, but are able to find each other soon again. From the retrospective of an interview, Che Guevara - played by Benicio del Toro - tells the story of the cuban revolutionary war, its problems und its victory with the occupation of Havanna.
