Loudmouth Hammer and introspective Dean meet and become fast friends at a Navy training school. Womanizing Hammer is temporarily separated from Dean after marrying the girl of Dean's dreams, pretty marine biologist Barbara. However, when the United States suspects Iraq of possessing the capability of launching biological warfare, the two friends are brought together again for a mission. After emerging as the force's top mini-sub specialists the two SEAL buddies are sent to check out Iraqi development of biological warfare weapons on an island in the Strait of Hormuz. Hammer gets killed as he and Dean knock out the bioweapon development center.
