plot synopsis:
This documentary reconstructs the siege of the castle Bitche during the German-French War in 1870/71. In this war the French emperor Napoleon III fought against Prussia. In spite of the capitulation of Napoleon's army in September 1870, the French castle could resist the Prussian siege for ten more month.
