plot synopsis:
Fifth of seven "Why we fight"-films, which describe the Russia's heroic resistance to the Nazi invaders.
It highlights the Russian tenacity and their determination to win against the seemingly invincible forces of Nazi Germany. It emphasize the importance of Russo-American cooperation in defeating the Nazi juggernaut not without mentioning that in its history Russia more than once managed to free herself from foreign invaders. The film's highlight are sequences of the siege of Stalingrad.
