After the extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau was freed by the Red Army in 1945, it became known, the some inmates werde forced to help killing the other detainees. Most members of these groups were killed, but few survived. Their reports give a terrible image of the annihilation of human lives in Auschwitz.
