plot synopsis:
In Poland in 1944 the Jewish shop owner Jakob is called to the ghetto headquarter, as he has been outside after curfew. While waiting for the German commander he overhears a radio information telling about the success of Russian troops. Back in the ghetto he talks to his friend about the news and a rumour arises that there was a secret radio in the ghetto. Jakob takes this chance and starts telling hopeful informations from his secret radio.
But Jacob's actual secret is, that he is hiding little Jewish girl who escaped from a camp transport train.
