A shooting in the so-called joint security zone along the 38th parallel between North and South Korea leave two North Korean soldiers dead and a South Korean soldier wounded. In order to avoid further diplomatic turbulences the two countries agree on an investigation by a neutral Swiss military team. With great persistence Korean-born Swiss major Sophie E. Lang leads her investigation. The witnesses testimonies contradict each other. One witness even tries to commit suicide to avoid testifing. Spohie learns that soldiers of both countries regularily met in a guard house on the North Korean side. Now she has to find out why this last meeting found such a bloody ending.
