Two years after the Russian Revolution (1917) a civil war at the Baltic States take place.
An impoverished aristocrac woman, Sophie Reval, falls in love with Erich Lhomond, a friend of her brother.
Lhomond has no feelings for her, he is interested in her brother Konrad.
