For his reportage, SPIEGEL-TV-author Kloft reconstructs the dramatic incidents before and after Hitlers’ suicide. With help from contemporary witnesses and evaluated interviews, he tries to give answers to the questions of the mental situation of Hitler and the way he comitted suicide. Furthermore, he enters into the question, who really was the murderer of the six children of the Goebbels’ and following interviews the writer of the film “Der Untergang”, Bernd Eichinger, in order to analyse the validity of the film in relation to the real incidents.
