plot synopsis:
This film tells the true story about Al Schmid, a marine during World War II. When he defends a gun post, kills 200 Japaneses and is blinded by a grenade, he becomes a hero. But even being awarded with the Navy Cross, can't help him to forget his disability. His girlfriend an a mate try to bring him back to a normal life.
