plot synopsis:
The film deals with an American soldier, stationed in Japan during the Korean War, who falls in love with a Japanese woman. Even though interracial marriages are not accepted, they get married. The consequence is, that he is supposed to be send back home to America without his wife. Because they can't stand the situation, both commit suicide.
