1944. Isolated in a giant parc lies the bourgois villa of arms manufacturer Francois Korb. This is the place where deal with representatives of the III. Reich and the Allies are arranged. The only son, Andres, fears his father escaping into his child fantasy world as often as possible. Because the Korbs like to adopt the general customs, a war-orphan is invited to the house. in cooperation with the grand-father the children help a Polish internee to escape. Anna has to leave the house but returns to Switzerland forty years later as a journalist meeting her former playmate who has become the successor of his father.
