»They Shall Not Grow Old« is a documentary about the First World War. For his work, Peter Jackson restored original historical footage from the British Imperial War Museum (IWM) by using state-of-the-art technology to colorize the material and convert it to 3-D technology. In addition, the film is underlaid by voice-over commentaries by British veterans of the First World War. They were selected by Jackson from over 600 hours of interview material from the archives of the BBC and the IWM.
