This documentary seriesconsisting of six parts could be seen as the continuation of the series “Pillar of Fire”. It begins, where “Pillar of Fire” ends, namely the Israeli Declaration of Independence. From there it leads through the history of Israel until its 50th birthday in 1998. All importatnt events starting with the War of Independence including the Sinai War, the Six Days War or Yom Kippur War. It contains documentary footage and reports of eye-witnesses as well as statements of participants of certain events.
