The film is set in the last days of WW II. A British Army liaison officer attached to the Red Army advancing towards Berlin discovers a secret which could make the Coalition between the Western Allies and the Soviet Union burst. The Britsh is arrested by the Soviet intelligence service and brought to POW-camp. There, he finds associates in a German captian and a Polish nurse. Together, they break out of the camp and try to reach the allied troops, while the Russian intelligence service is trying to hunt them down.
