plot synopsis:
In 1942 the German cruiser „Pommern“ is sunk by the British. Only three of the 1.400 men crew survive. At first they are celebrated and awarded medals then their story is put into question. Did they leave the ship earlier? A military tribunal has to find out whether the men are heros or deserters.
