This film is composed from 1928 newsreel footage, the year of the Briand-Kellog pact (now forgotten), which outlawed war. "Histoire du Soldat Inconnu" denounces the injurious alliance of the money, the army and the church in one sweeping movement. By reshaping the current events of their time in a very modern way, Storck creates a strong anti-military pamphlet.
