plot synopsis:
Johnny McQueen, leader of an IRA-like group, has escaped prison and hides away in the safe house of his girlfriend, Kathleen. He is supposed to rob a mill with two other members and gets shot in the arm there. On the run he is unable to get in the getaway car and falls back down on the street. From then on he has to get through a long, hostile odyssey.
