During World War I Bill Pettigrew, a naive young soldier from Texas is sent to New York to do his basic training. But then he meets the actress Daisy Heath, who nearly runs him over by car. Daisy agrees to play his girlfriend to impress his friends, but out of that a real lovestory begins.
