‘The Tiger’ is set in 1943 after the defeat of the German Wehrmacht at Stalingrad.
The five-man tank crew defends a bridge with their eponymous ‘Tiger’ tank in order to secure the retreat of German soldiers and halt the advance of the Soviet army. The bridge explodes along with the tank.

Nevertheless, the crew gathers around their tank afterwards and receives a new assignment. Behind enemy lines, they are to track down Officer Hardenburg. During their mission, the tank crew witnesses an SS massacre and comes under fire from a Soviet tank, which, upon closer inspection, is found to contain only skeletons.

Finally, they find Hardenburg in a bunker, where the officer is celebrating exuberantly. It turns out that Hardenburg is no longer alive, having already fallen at Stalingrad, and that the tank crew also perished in the initial explosion of the bridge.
