Filmed in the West Bank. Shortly after the Israeli forces had withdrawn from the Jenin refugee camp, this documentary relates the story of the tragic events that took place in April 2002. At the same time it presents an analysis by both Palestinians and Israelis of the current significance of these events and the historical context from within which they have arisen.
Focusing initially on what took place during the armed occupation and curfew, and secondly on how Israelis, Palestinians and international human rights experts view these events, the film includes interviews with ordinary people who have been directly affected by the conflict: from Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, to Israelis in Tel Aviv and Ariel, who live in increasing fear that normal life will never be possible again. Filmed in Nablus, Ramallah, Jerusalem, Haifa and Tel Aviv, the film explores what difference these events have made to the quest for security by Israel and statehood by Palestine.
