plot synopsis:
This documentary deals with the worst fire in the history of space travel in the Sowjet rocket center Baikonur on October 24th in 1960. Originally the journalists were ment to take pictures about the success of the atomic rocket R-16, that was built for the Cold War. But the rocket burnes down and successful pictures become horrorful pictures. For a very long time these pictures were cept secret. In this film witnesses talk about what really happened in Baikonur and what happened after the katastrophe.
