This documentary deals with the arms agent Basil Zacharoff. Between patriotism and business sense goventments and weapon traders already cooperated during the first half of the 20th century. As one of the richest men in the world and as inventor of modern arms trade, Zacharoff remained the man in the dark. His strategy was to play enemy states off against each other, so that he was involved in nearly every war of his time.
