Agadez is a lonely French outpost under the burning desert sun. It is commanded by the cruel and oppressive Captain Savatt. Legionnaires seize the fort and turn Savitt loose in the Arab-haunted desert, only with little water and food, not enough needed to get back to civilization. But Savitt makes his way and gets back to the fort with troops of men. But the group is surrounded by Arabs. Men from the fort see this, knowing that helping them means their own death.
