plot synopsis:
During the escape from East Prussia to the farmer Buddensiek in the winter of 1944, the widow laird Vera von Hoff and her daughter Marion acquire a young stallion, they educate in their new homeland in Lower Saxony. While the stallion wins the “Preis der Nationen“, the daughter falls in love with doctor Meining, a show jumper, not knowing that he is in love with her mother.
