plot synopsis:
This film takes place during World War II and deals with Karen, a young woman, who marries the fisherman Antonio to escape from a prison camp. But her new life in Stromboli, the village the fisherman lives in, is also hard. Karen can't get used to the threatening vulcano next to her new home.
