The main character is a Czech meber of the French foreign legion fighting in Indo-China. The actual reason for his involvement is his unit commander, a former Nazi officer, who is responsible for the killing of the main character’s family during Wordl War II. Only little is said in this film about the actions of the foreign legion in Indo-China on behlaf of the French colonial power.
