plot synopsis:
World War II: Soldier Roy is on his way to the front, when he stops at Waterloo Brigde to remember his past. During the first world war, careless behaviour has led to his fiancee being fired as a dancer, so that she had to prostitute herself in order to survive the war. Although later reunited, she kills herself believing her past would seperate them eventually. In the end, Roy leaves for the front with his fiancee's lucky charm.
