The chief of a swiss hospital is taking home a nine year old refugee child from Kosovo, which has lost its language by shock. Within he is not only provoking the agencies, but also his wife who is suffering because of being childless. But soon there is growing up a personal confidence between them und they are looking like a small family. Problems come with appearance of the real mother of that child and the chief and his wife have to make a difficult decision.
