General Heinz Büchner gets to see secret documents about the mission of a GSK group (special forces) in Kaukasus, where islamic terrorists hide to plan a bombing attack on the headquarter of the US forces in Heidelberg. With the help of an atomic bomb they want to create a catastrophe, which would be even worse than September 11th. Büchners deputy and close friend Arne Koczian and his ex-wife Ellen, who is a pacifist and works for "Ärzte ohne Grenzen", doubt that this mission is right. Because of good connections to the committee of defence Ellen gets to know about international instructions for the Bundeswehr to eliminate islamic terrorists. This is the proof, that the mission is an illegal murder. The conscientious general gets into a conflict of mind, because his son Christopher has to lead the dangerous mission. The difficult relationship between father and son becomes even worse because of that.
