Bobby Sands, member of the paramilitary organization IRA, goes to hospital and soon goes into hunger strike. He motivates his inmates to join him in order to gain international publicity. Based on the last days in the life of Bobby Sands.
The film is particularly famous for one shot that lasts 17 minutes without one cut, forcing the actors to play the whole scene as one.
