plot synopsis:
Tom Highway is a highly decorated Sergeant who has sacrified his wife, his family and everything in his life to the Marine Corps. After long years in Korea he is transfered to a training camp as drill sergeant for Marine platoon. At first the recruits ridicule his authoritarian attitude but soon start to fear him. It is only during the invasion of Grenada that they realize how much they owe him.
