The movie is aout the Croatian War of Independence, also known as "Homeland War" (Domovinski rat), between 1991 and 1995. During these years, Croatia was devastated and parts of its economy were destroyed, tenthousands were killed and many more lost their homes. Accompained by the voices of common people, the movie tells the story of a rarely regarded country and its dealing with a war, which left both visible and unvisible marks. In doing so, the movie also illustrates how the reflection of a historical event, despite the terror and dread caused by it, may containes the hope to learn from the past and influence the future in a positiv way.
