plot synopsis:
In August 1945, three Allied officers in occupied Germany steal Nazi gold from the Deutschen Reichsbank with the help of a OSS officer. General Patton personally supervises the investigation of the theft, but is killed by an contract killer. The assassination, disguised as an accident, was commisioned by the orders of his own staff, because Patton was to close to the solution of the case. Pattons combatant DeLuca and his lover, who is also involved with the assassin, are left alive and get also in danger.
