plot synopsis:
This documentary was filmed in 1945, but never was shown to an audience, instead it disappeared into the britsh archives for many years. The film deals with the liberation of the concentration camps of the Nazis and shows suffering and death. The film was made in 1945 to open the eyes of the German population. But politics changed and the film never was shown because it could have caused even more chaos. Instead the allies wanted to built up Germany as soon as possible. The main part of the film shows the concentration camp in Bergen-Belsen, that was freed on April 15th in 1945.
