plot synopsis:
In the course of the fights in the Ukraine a young Slovak army officer gradually realizes the horrors of fascism. On his return to Slovakia he takes part in the Slovak National Uprising. But he cannot overcome his solitary disposition a nd moreover doubts the meaning of partisan activities.
