plot synopsis:
Towards the end of World War II a redneck US Amry captain receives order to command a company of African American soldiers on suicide mission. They are supposed to blow up a German dam. The soldiers under his command are rear-echelon troops and do not have any combat experience at all. Despite racial tensions within, the unit remains together.

At first this movie was planned to pilot a TV-series of the same title, but it never became reality.
